About this course:
Real Club de Golf La Herrería is a classic 18-hole course set in the Bosque de la Herrería, within the grounds of El Escorial in northwest Madrid. Founded in 1966, it is closely linked to the history of the site and offers a secluded, atmospheric round among tree-lined fairways of oaks, ash trees and holm oaks, with views toward the monastery and the Madrid skyline. Designed by Lucena and later reformed by Gancedo, the layout blends golf with its natural surroundings in a striking forest setting.
The club also has a strong social and practice offering, with a Social Chalet featuring a bar-cafetería, terraces, event rooms and dining spaces, plus a golf practice area, a dedicated 2,300 m² short-game zone and an academy. It hosts private tournaments and competitions such as Copa Herrería and Open Femenino, forming part of a busy club calendar throughout the year.
