Murcar Links Golf Club, founded in 1909, is on Scotland's northeast coast, offering classic links with wide North Sea views. The Championship course plays as par 71 (SSS 72) based on its historic layout, designed by Archie Simpson and refined by James Braid in the 1930s. Wind, gorse, and precise shot selection define play, requiring smart choices and control each round. For more variety, the Strabathie 9-hole course is shorter and more forgiving, featuring the Strabathie Burn on five holes. Murcar Links is also known for strong playing and practice facilities and its tournament history, including the 2016 Saltire Energy Paul Lawrie Match Play and the 2024 R&A Men’s & Women’s Home Internationals.
