About this course:
Melia Villaitana Golf Club in Alicante, Spain is a two-course golf destination designed by Nicklaus Design. Both 18-hole courses sit within a calm Mediterranean setting, with views of the Bay and a backdrop of pine woodland that gives the resort a scenic, relaxed feel. The Poniente Course plays as a par 62 over 3,858 metres, winding through a Mediterranean pine valley with sea and mountain views. The Levante Course is a par 72 stretching 6,576 metres, laid out in an American style with wide fairways, well-shaped greens and outlooks across the Mediterranean Sea.
A special microclimate supports princess bermudagrass on the tees, fairways and rough, while the greens are planted with agrostis, creating playing conditions that appeal to golfers of different levels.
