About this course:
McDonald Golf Course is an 18-hole parkland course in Aberdeenshire countryside, 16 miles north of Aberdeen. The course features a natural, atmospheric setting through historic woodlands and striking planting. A lively stream appears on nearly every hole, adding character and challenge. Holes vary from par-3 to par-5, offering a varied round for all skill levels. Founded in 1926 when Sir James McDonald gifted the old woods to Ellon, the original nine holes expanded to 18. A modern clubhouse was added in the mid-1990s.
