About this course:

Glen Golf Club, also known as East Links, is located on the rugged East Lothian coast near North Berwick. The 18-hole course offers expansive views over the Firth of Forth and Bass Rock and is known for its challenging yet fair nature. Designed by James Braid and Ben Sayers, later refined, it features elevated tees, strategically placed greens, and constant sea wind requiring creativity and precision. The course measures 6,275 yards with a par of 70 for men; 5,773 yards with a par of 73 for women. Golf history on East Links dates back to the 17th century. In 1906, the course expanded to 18 holes and has since built a strong tournament history, with players like J.H. Taylor, Alex Herd, and Harry Vardon competing in an opening match in 1908–1909, and George Duncan setting a course record of 70 in 1909 during a major professional event.
