Haughton Grange, DL1 3JD Darlington
Darlington Golf Course at Darlington Golf Club is a classic 18-hole parkland course in County Durham, founded in 1908 and designed by Dr Alister MacKenzie, who was appointed in 1914. Played over 6,217 yards from the back tees with a par of 70, it features mature tree-lined fairways, true greens and peaceful countryside views across around 80 acres. The layout offers real variety, with six par threes and back-to-back par fives at the 5th and 6th, including a 206-yard par three protected by six bunkers. With a flatter, more accessible walk, it provides a fair test for golfers of different levels. The club also has a warm, traditional clubhouse, short-game and putting areas, and hosts events such as the Men’s Senior Open, Ladies Open, Invitational and a PRO-AM.
