Vale do Lobo

Vale do Lobo is a varied golf destination with two courses: the Ocean Course and the Royal Course. The Ocean Course includes two of the original 9-hole courses, designed by Sir Henry Cotton, and is known for characterful holes with strong views over the Algarve. Highlights are the Par 4s on the 11th and 14th holes and the Par 3 on the 15th, which runs along the beach. The Royal Course is considered one of the most prestigious courses in Portugal, featuring among others the almost island green 9th hole and the famous 16th, a cliff-top carry-over that is one of the most photographed holes in Europe. Vale do Lobo offers a relaxed yet sporty atmosphere, focusing on precision, rhythm, and playing with elevation changes. Annually, the Vale do Lobo Golf Club organizes events including Foursomes Week and Amateur Week.
