Tulfarris Golf Club

Tulfarris Golf Club is an 18-hole championship course by Patrick J. Merrigan, set within a 200-acre lakeside estate around Blessington Lakes in Wicklow. Routed across three peninsulas, it combines tranquil ponds, untamed grasses and panoramic views with a layout that rewards strategy and accuracy. Water comes into play on a handful of holes on both the front and back nine, while strategic bunkering and demanding tee shots keep scoring close to par. The club also has a strong sense of history, with the restored 18th-century Manor House built in 1760 on the ruins of Tulfarris Castle and preserved early Christian burial grounds on site. Since opening as a 9-hole course in 1989 and expanding to 18 holes in the 1990s, it has hosted the EuroPro Tour, the Irish Seniors Open Championship and the Club Professional PGA Championship. Practice facilities and lessons are available through the PGA Professional.
