The Dorset Golf & Country Club & Resort is a 27-hole championship golf course designed by Martin Hawtree. The three nine-hole courses—Lakeland, Parkland, and Woodland—each have their own character. Lakeland and Parkland feature lakes on more than half the holes, while the Woodland Course is carved through a Rhododendron Forest, demanding precise and strategic play. Hawtree's signature clover-shaped bunkers and large, undulating greens add extra challenge. The landscape is shaped by the Purbeck Hills and Rolling Heath, with abundant wildlife nearby. The course plays differently in summer and winter, ranging from target-style conditions to a links-like approach with run-ins and run-offs. Opened in 1991, Justin Rose briefly held the course record here with a gross 69 from the back tees.
