The Alto Club (fka Almenara Golf)

The Alto Club, formerly Almenara Golf, is an 18-hole course set high on the Sotogrande hillside beside Los Alcornocales Natural Park. Designed by Dave Thomas and later refined by Manuel Piñero, it combines elevation changes, pine-lined fairways and water features in a strategic layout that rewards precision and creativity. Each nine has its own character, with the natural contours of the land shaping the round throughout. The Alto Club also stands out for its performance-focused golf academy, led by former Solheim Cup Captain Suzann Pettersen. Practice facilities include natural and covered tee lines, Toptracer technology, a custom fitting center, short-game areas and night practice options, while the Society Clubhouse offers relaxed dining and terrace views over the course and the Mediterranean Sea.
