Sunningdale Golf Club cover

About this course:

Sunningdale Golf Club is known for its classic English heathland character with two 18-hole courses: the Old Course and the New Course. The Old Course, designed by Willie Park Junior and opened in 1901, lies among heather, gorse, and pines. It is famous for its large, undulating greens and clever visual hazards like cross bunkers, ditches, and heather banks, making every round challenging, even for long hitters. The New Course, designed by Harry Colt and opened in 1923, plays tougher and more open, with narrow, winding fairways and small, often elevated greens protected by heather. Sunningdale also has a rich history and recently hosted qualifiers and tournaments, including the Curtis Cup in 2024.
