South Grove Golf Course is a historic 1902 course designed by local architect Harry Schopp. It features a charming urban feel with a distinctive tree line to the south. Though relatively flat, gentle hills and raised plateaus add variety around greens and tees. Fairways are narrow and tree-lined, demanding accuracy and thoughtful shot placement. Players enjoy views of the Indianapolis skyline, just two miles from downtown. South Grove has hosted top amateur tournaments, including the annual South Grove Spring Four-Ball since 1948, starting each April.
