South Richards Drive 6401, 60649 Chicago
Jackson Park Golf Course is a historic 18-hole course in Chicago Park, opened in 1899 and designed by Tom Bendelow. The course is located on the site of the 1893 World's Columbian Exposition and winds through a 500-acre parkland with mature hardwood trees lining the fairways and greens. This creates a varied round emphasizing precision and smart club choice, with par 3s up to 200 yards and par 5s up to 560 yards. Besides play, Jackson Park offers excellent practice facilities, including a 36-station driving range, a putting green, and mat tees. The greens are bent grass and the fairways rye grass. The course is also Audubon International Certified as a Cooperative Sanctuary, focusing on nature, conservation of natural resources, and wildlife habitats.
