Soestdijkerstraatweg 172, 1213XJ Hilversum
Golfclub Hilversumsche lies in the wooded and heathland landscape of the Gooi, creating the feeling of playing deep in the countryside, with long walks at times between greens and the next tee. This 18-hole course combines a classic layout with a modern touch, shaped by H. Burrows in 1917, refined by Harry S. Colt in 1927, and later further developed by Kyle Phillips. Its traditional forest-and-heath character is matched by a demanding test of golf, with long and relatively narrow par-4s, subtle undulations, and plenty of strategic challenge. Strongly linked to top-level golf, the course has hosted the Dutch Open 27 times. With a new clubhouse opened in 2019 and ongoing attention to course conditioning, Golfclub Hilversumsche offers a setting that reflects both its history and its continued relevance in Dutch golf.
