Glendower Golf Club is a parkland course in Gauteng, South Africa, designed by English golf architect Charles Hugh Alison with assistance from A.F. Tomsett. Founded in 1935 and opened on March 7, 1937, it has become a key tournament venue, hosting the Transvaal Open Championship and various national championships, including the South African Open Championship from 2013 to 2018. The 18-hole, Par 72 course is known for its challenging nature, featuring 64 bunkers, water hazards on 11 holes, and kikuyu fairways requiring precision. Set amidst nature and abundant birdlife, Glendower offers a classic yet demanding layout. Practice facilities behind the clubhouse include a large putting green, chipping greens, and bunkers near the 10th tee.
