Morshoekweg 16 7552 PE Hengelo
Golfclub Driene is a historic 9-hole golf course with par 72, set in the Twente countryside between Enschede and Hengelo. Nestled in a park-like and wooded landscape, the course lies on a 31-hectare estate, of which 17 hectares are used for golf and the rest is largely forest. Designed by Mr. G.M. del Court van Krimpen and W.G. Janssen, and laid out by the garden architects H. Copijn & Zn., it opened on 23 July 1927 and is one of the oldest golf courses in the Netherlands. The original routing has largely been preserved, while formerly narrow holes have been extended to create a technical and strategic challenge with attractive views through the rolling woodland. Golfers can also make use of a driving range, putting green and short game area, while the clubhouse, dating from 1927 and later expanded and renovated, adds to the classic character of the course.
