Golfbaan De Zaanse

Golfbaan De Zaanse is a modern 18-hole golf course set in the characteristic peat meadow landscape, right beside a Natura 2000 area. Its polder setting shapes the round throughout: water comes into play on and between the holes, and on five holes you tee off from an old dike. Designed by golf course architect Gerard Jol and expanded to 18 holes in 2008, the course offers a varied and demanding challenge in which accuracy often matters more than distance. The flat open landscape also means wind can be a real factor, adding to the test for both beginners and experienced golfers. Practice facilities include a driving range with TrackMan, chipping greens, putting greens and an Academy. In the distance, the windmills of De Zaanse Schans add a familiar backdrop to the round.
