Downfield Golf Club is a parkland course in Dundee, near Scotland's sunniest city, with a wooded setting offering a calm yet challenging atmosphere. The 18 holes, designed by James Braid, play to par 73 from the Black tees. Water hazards appear on at least seven holes, and multiple tees cater to various skill levels. The course holds a strong place in Scottish golf history: it hosted the first Scottish Open in 1972, final qualifying for The Open Championship in 1999, and Senior Open Final Qualifying in 2024. Visitors enjoy clubhouse hospitality and a driving range for preparation.
