Golfbaan Dirkshorn cover

About this course:

Golfbaan Dirkshorn is an 18-hole par-72 championship course on 55 hectares, designed by landscape and golf course architect Alan Rijks. Set on the edge of the village of Dirkshorn in North Holland, the course has a distinctly open polder and meadow character, with tight fairways, fast and true greens, and excellent drainage. Water comes into play regularly, along with challenging rough, while only a few groups of trees shape the layout. The course rewards smart course management, especially on holes with undulation, doglegs, and the hazards created by bunkers, out of bounds, and water. Dirkshorn also has a clubhouse in traditional North Holland stolp farm style, plus a spacious practice area with more than twenty driving range bays, a pitching, chipping and putting green, and views of holes 1, 10 and 18 from the terrace. Since 2011, the course has carried a GEO/Committed to Green ecolabel.
