Chipping Sodbury Golf Club lies at the foot of the Cotswold Hills, northeast of Bristol. The 18-hole parkland course, designed by Fred Hawtree and opened in 1971, offers a varied round with water hazards on many holes. The large greens appear inviting but their slightly raised position demands precise shots and good distance control. The club has a rich history with interruptions due to wars. Since the 18-hole course was built, Chipping Sodbury has had a permanent home, including a spacious clubhouse for catering and relaxation after play.
