Chambers Bay

Chambers Bay is a links-style golf course on the shores of Puget Sound in the Pacific Northwest, designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr. Built around dramatic topography and sweeping views toward the Olympic Mountains, it plays with wide fairways, lumpy greens, and firm surfaces that reward positioning and shot tolerance. The result is a demanding round with a distinctly true-links character. Its championship history is closely tied to USGA golf. Chambers Bay hosted the 2010 U.S. Amateur soon after opening and later staged the 2015 U.S. Open, the first in the Pacific Northwest and the first played on fine fescue greens. The course has also been associated with major events such as the U.S. Women’s Amateur and the U.S. Amateur Four-Ball.
