Cathcart Castle Golf Course is a classic James Braid parkland course with 18 holes and a par of 70, located south of Glasgow between Clarkston and Whitecraigs. The course winds through mature landscape with two meandering streams crossing the front nine fairways, along with many bunkers and old birch and pine trees demanding precision. The back nine starts with a long par 4 with out of bounds on the right, a challenge continuing through subsequent holes. With six par 3s in total, the round focuses heavily on game management. Founded in 1895, the club moved to its current location in the 1920s. After the round, there is a lounge, catering, a private dining room, and a Trackman Studio available via the pro shop.
