Coast Road 192, Ballygally, Larne, BT40 2QG, Noord-Ierland
Cairndhu Golf Course is an 18-hole par-70 coastal course on the Antrim Coast Road near Ballygally, between Belfast and Portrush. The course is elevated, offering impressive views of the Scottish coast, Antrim Plateau, and Ballygally Bay. Wind, elevation changes, and precision shape the play, with steep climbs and dramatic descents. A notable hole is the 'Head Hole', a par 3 with a narrow green sloping left. The club began in 1928 with a nine-hole course designed by Major C.A. MacKenzie; the current layout was later developed by John S.F. Morrison. Cairndhu has become a true championship venue, hosting the NI Open in 2021 and 2022, the ISPS HANDA World Invitational Qualifier in 2021 and 2022, and the NI Open Pro-Am in 2023.
