Blackford Bridge, BL9 9TJ Bury
Bury Golf Club is a historic 18-hole semi-moorland course designed by Alister Mackenzie, Charles Hugh Alison, and Harry Shapland Colt. The course features varied play with natural elements and rolling contours. No two holes are the same, and the differing directions require constant strategic choices. Founded in 1890 as a nine-hole course, it moved to its current location in 1920. Mackenzie's influence remains in three two-tier greens. Harry Vardon, six-time Open champion, is closely linked to the club and honored by the annual Harry Vardon Trophy.
