Tarn Road, CA8 1HN Brampton
Brampton Golf Club is a classic 18-hole course in Cumbria, designed by James Braid and founded in 1909. The course lies in a parkland-like heath and moorland landscape, built on sand for excellent drainage, playable year-round with panoramic views of the Pennine Fells, Lake District peaks, and even Scotland. The layout varies, with nine holes on the club side of the road and a wilder, more spectacular other half. The clubhouse features a conservatory with course views. Practice facilities include a covered driving range with six bays, chipping and bunker practice, a long game area, and a putting green.
